ISD asked to step up public education on government policies

Koforidua, Feb.25, GNA- The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Yaw Barimah has asked the Information Services Department (ISD) to step up public education on government policies and programmes. He noted that information flow was vital for the deepening of the country’s fledgling democracy and national development.

The Minister made these remarks when he interacted with personnel of the ISD in the Region in Koforidua on Thursday, at the commencement of a 30-day public education campaign by the Department in some 450 communities on major government policies.

He appealed to Ghanaians to accept in good faith the current fuel price increase as the nation stands to benefit in the long term. The Regional Director of the ISD, Mr Edwin Appeaning appealed for government support to open district offices in seven remaining districts
