Accra, July 4 GNA – Mr Valiolah Mohammadi Nasrabadi, Iranian Ambassador in Ghana, on Monday paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong at his office in Accra. The visit by the Iranian Diplomat was to boost the cordial relations between the two nations in the areas of trade and industry. Mr Nasrabadi said Iran would continue to support Ghana in the field of agriculture, health and education to enhance the socio-economic development of the country.
He said his country would strengthen its trade ties with Ghana in the spirit of the South-South cooperation.
Mr Owusu-Adjapong commended the Republic of Iran for its assistance to Ghana over the years. He said the visit by Mr Nasrabadi would help build a better bridge between the parliamentary systems of the two nations. The Minister also hinted that Ghana was going to receive crude oil supplies in the near future from Iran.
He said measures were being put in place to enable the country to benefit from direct trade with Iran rather than through third parties.
