Irani Brothers Donates ?30million to Otumfuo Education Fund

Many individuals, companies and institutions continue to donate to the Otumfuo Education Fund, which has received national and worldwide commendation. One of the latest donors to the fund is the Irani Brothers and Others Limited, a leading flour producing company in Ghana.

Mr. Tony Moukarzel, Managing Director of the company led a three-man delegation of the company to present a cheque for ?30 million to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene as the company’s contribution to the fund.

Mr. Moukarzel noted that, his company was happy to be associated with the laudable scheme Otumfuo has launched for the numerous benefits it offers the needy but brilliant Ghanaian youth.

He said Irani Brothers was even more encouraged for the fund’s eligibility, which extends to not only Ashantis, but all Ghanaians in all schools from the basic to the tertiary.

“As a good corporate citizen committed to the well being of the community in which we operate, we see this as a worthwhile gesture of contributing our widows mite by supporting these generous ideals of Otumfuo,” Mr. Moukarzel said.

He hoped this would be one major landmark that will stand the test of time in the reign of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Asanteman.

Otumfuo thanked Irani Brothers for their gesture and called on others to emulate them, saying Asanteman and the nation demands the support of all and sundry to ensure a better future for the needy youth especially the girl child.
