Bishop Hamphery Addo-Yobo, General Overseer of Victory Praise Chapel has called on men of God to be extremely cautious about how they interpret and translate the Bible to Christians.
He said that every mistake in speech or sermons from pastors could negatively affect the lives of Christians as they depend on it in order to please God.
He was speaking at the first graduation and ordination service at the Action Faith Bible College where 13 graduates out of which 10 were ordained as Reverends and were awarded their Diploma in Theology.
Bishop Addo-Yobo said pastors should concentrate on spreading the gospel and not seeking to work miracles for he who is sent of the Lord must preach the word.
“Labour not for the food that perishes,” he said, adding that pastors should pray and wait on God for direction.
“You don’t need a sermon, seminar or the media to preach the word. You only have to identify a need and reach out to the society,” Bishop Addo-Yobo said.
He advised the graduates to avail themselves for God to mold, guide and use them for his purpose.
Apostle Albert Ken Dapatem, General Overseer of the Life Vision Chapel, confirmed that the graduates had been well trained and practiced for more than a year thereby fulfilling all requirements for ordination.
Rev. Emmanuel Owusu, Head Pastor of the Action Faith Resurrection Ministry, ordained the graduates as ministers of the gospel.
