The Ministry of the Interior has issued a strong warning to the public following the circulation of a fraudulent message claiming to offer recruitment into Ghana’s Security Services via a Google Form.
The deceptive message, widely shared on social media platforms, urges users to apply for alleged job opportunities through a so-called “Data Gathering Form” hosted at a suspicious link. It also misleadingly sets a deadline for submissions on 10 June 2025, creating a false sense of urgency.
In a statement released Tuesday, the Ministry firmly disassociated itself from the message, calling it “false and unauthorised.”
“The Ministry of the Interior has not authorised any individual, group, or third-party platform to conduct recruitment or collect data on its behalf,” the statement said.
Officials stressed that all genuine recruitment for the Ghana Security Services is publicly advertised through official channels, such as the national newspapers, and not through informal online forms.
The Ministry further cautioned the public to avoid clicking on the fraudulent link or sharing any personal details, warning that doing so could lead to identity theft, financial loss, or exposure to other forms of cybercrime.
Cybersecurity experts say this is part of a growing trend of digital recruitment scams targeting job seekers, particularly young people eager to join the country’s respected security agencies.
The Ministry urges Ghanaians to remain vigilant and to report suspicious online activity to the appropriate authorities.
For verified information on government recruitment exercises, the public is encouraged to follow official announcements through the Ministry’s website and accredited media outlets.
