Intensify Reconciliatory moves-Clegyman

Kasoa (C/R), March 31, GNA – Members of the Council of State, the Christian Council of Churches and the National House of Chiefs were on Thursday urged to intensify efforts to iron out whatever differences that existed between President John Agyekum Kufuor and the former President Jerry John Rawlings once and for all. Apostle Samuel Ayisi-Larbi, Founder and Leader of the Power of Christ Ministry International Church, made the call at Kasoa, on Thursday to close a special post-Easter executive meeting organized by the Church to educate branch leaders on national issues that could adversely affect the development of the Church and the nation.

Speaking on “National Reconciliation and Development- The Role of both Present and Past Leaders”, Apostle Ayisi-Larbi said it is also an undeniable fact that the body, however stout and strong it was built, cannot move and perform satisfactorily without the head. This clearly show that no society or country can be effectively and properly administered without a leader and an army of disciplined people, that is why God chose Moses, Joshua, David and the rest to lead the Israelites during their journey to the promised land after they had been freed from the Hands of the Egyptians.

Apostle Ayisi-Larbi therefore advised Ghanaians to unite and more importantly, pray to God to give traditional and religious Leaders and members of the Council of State the needed knowledge and wisdom to thrash out the misunderstanding among the incumbent and past leaderships to ensure peace, stability and progress because the two distinguished citizens have a major role to play in the building of the nation.

He expressed the hope that the two statesmen will also accord each other the respect due him so as to build a bridge of love, lasting unity, mutual trust and understanding between them for the benefit of the nation.

Apostle Ayisi-Larbi further expressed the hope that steps being taken to bring President Kufuor and former President Rawlings together would yield fruitful results.

He charged branch leaders of the church to educate followers of the church to lead decent and disciplined lives all the time for others to emulate.
