Information staff asked to improve their output next year

Koforidua, Dec. 31, GNA- The staff of the Information Services Department (ISD) in the Eastern Region have been asked to improve their output next year.

They have, therefore, been asked to ensure that the few logistics available were well maintained and judiciously used. The Eastern Regional Information Officer, Mr Edward H. Appeaning, who made the call at an end of year get-together on Thursday at Koforidua, commended the staff for their commitment to duty.

He reminded them to evolve appropriate development communication skills to ensure effectively dissemination of government’s programmes. Mr Appeaning asked them to avail themselves of the training programmes by the Department in order to improve their competence.

He announced that the Department was to link with the regional and district offices in the country through computer network to enhance its operations. In an open forum, the staff appealed for improved working conditions and more logistics to enhance their work.
