Industry, health, education: NPP has zero record – NDC

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has no record in the industry, health, and education sectors of the economy, the Eastern Regional Communications Director of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Baba Jamal Konneh, has said.

According to him, the NPP cannot boast of any record of having established or revamped factories, building public universities and senior high schools as well as hospitals in the eight years of President Kufour’s administration.

“I have very simple questions to ask the NPP and their conventional political leader, Nana Akuffo Addo: How many factories did they construct in their eight (8) years in power? How many secondary schools did they construct under their eight (8) years in power? How many regional hospitals did they put up in their eight (8) years in power? How many government universities did they put up in their eight years in office?” he quizzed.

In a Facebook post, Baba Jamal Konneh posited: “They [NPP] can’t answer because they have zero record in all the four.”

Meanwhile President John Dramani Mahama on Monday May 30 inaugurated the Komenda Sugar Factory in the Central Region.

According to Mr Mahama, the country has a huge potential to become a major sugar producer.
