India’s Singh congratulates Kufuor

Accra, Jan. 5, GNA – India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has sent a congratulatory message to President John Agyekum Kufuor on his re-election.

A statement released in Accra on Wednesday read: “I have the pleasure in extending warmest felicitation to you on your re-election as the President of the Republic of Ghana.

“The smooth and peaceful manner in which both the presidential and parliamentary elections were conducted are testimony to enduring strength of the democratic process on Ghana and to your leadership.” It said India was looking forward to working with President Kufuor to strengthen their bond of friendship with Ghana and enhance bilateral cooperation.
