Independent Prosecutor will make corruption ‘unattractive’ – Occupy Ghana

Pressure group Occupy Ghana has said that the establishment of the proposed Prosecutor General’s Office by the Akuffo Addo’s government will arguably be the best ‘policy ‘to make corruption unattractive in the country.

Mr. Kweku Segbefia, a member of the group who spoke to Abusua News Osei Kwadwo stressed that the establishment of such an office would make corruption unattractive adding that it will also result in the prosecution of people found guilty to have misapplied or misappropriated the country’s resources.

”The situation where people in government mess up with state resources and were allowed to go Scot-free should be a thing of the past and rather a price should be paid for corruption and anyone who deliberately attempt to misuse state resources,” he said.

He added that Occupy Ghana fully supports President Nana Addo’s decision to fight against corruption in the country.

“We are urging Nana Addo and his NPP government to deal with all corrupt government officials in Ghana to help eradicate all corrupt practices in the country.
