Independent parliamentary candidate expelled from the NPP

Kade, Nov. 27, GNA – The NPP executive of the Kade constituency has expelled Mr Alfred Kwasi Yeboah, an Independent Parliamentary candidate for the Kade constituency.

A letter signed by the constituency chairman of the NPP, Mr Isaac Sarpong to Mr Yeboah and copied to the press said, the candidate “had proved beyond every reasonable doubt that he had contravened the party’s constitution by deciding to go solo”.

The letter said by his action, Mr Yeboah had confirmed the suspicion of some party members that he was a member of the NDC when he contested the NPP primary in 2000.

“The party has been compelled to take no other action than to expel you from the NPP as a member with immediate effect,” the letter said. The letter warned Mr Yeboah to cease using the NPP party colours in his campaign activities forthwith.
