Independent candidate for Sunyani cautions over the use of NPP symbols

Sunyani, Nov. 19 GNA – The Sunyani East Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has warned the Reverend Nana Agyei Ntow, an Independent Parliamentary Candidate in the area, to desist from using the Party’s symbols in his electoral campaign.

The warning was given in a press statement issued by Mr K. Adubofour-Sarpong, Assistant Constituency Secretary of the NPP, and copied to the Sunyani Municipal Electoral Officer, the Municipal Commander of Police and the Regional Secretary of the Party.

The statement alleged that the Independent candidate was using the names of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Hackman Owusu Agyemang, Minister of The Interior and Mr Yaw Osafo Marfo, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, to solicit for votes. It said Rev. Nana Ntow’s action was illegal.
