Immortalize Kamel – Afotey Agbo

Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, Volta Regional Minister, has suggested that certain places in the region be named after the late Henry Ford Kamel, a former Regional Minister.

Kamel, who was also a Member of Parliament (MP) for Buem, died on Christmas Day last year.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Mr Afotey-Agbo said those places could be hostels of the tertiary institutions in the region.

He said the late Kamel was a brother, contemporary in Parliament, and a hardworking person who lost his life in the line of duty.

Mr Afotey-Agbo later in a Christmas Message to the region said as individuals we should be grateful to God for keeping us alive, and as a nation, for the bounteous peace prevailing in the country.

He said the future of the country was bright, and therefore urged every Ghanaian to contribute his or her quota to national development.

Mr Afotey-Agbo prayed for wisdom for the leaders of this country, to enable them treat everybody with respect and give equal opportunities to all.
