IMF to help Weak Cedi

ACCRA – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has released nearly $60 million to the Ghanaian government, which may help prop up the weak cedi currency at least in the short term, an IMF representative said. Dr. Germa Bergashaw, the IMF”s representative in Ghana, told Reuters that the money was released just over a week ago from Ghana”s reserve position with the Fund.
