IMANI boss: ‘Mahama risks leaving office with no legacy’

The Founding President of policy think tank, IMANI Ghana, Franklyn Cudjoe has urged President John Mahama to be tough on the perceived corruption in his government or risk leaving the presidency with no legacy.

According to the IMANI boss, the president’s responds to recent reports of corruption in his administration appears as though he is overwhelmed by the canker.

“President Mahama seems overwhelmed by the daily outing and glorification of corruption in his administration,” Cudjoe wrote on his Facebook on Friday, September 26.

He added: “Mr. President, I have also lost count of the scandals, but this latest National Identification Authority of $115m (after blowing $14m on the same exercise) is simply murder! Why? Have all these actors in the corruption enterprise under your government made a pact with the devil? Do they owe the devil?

“Lord Have Mercy. Please act tough else you risk leaving a legacy that said you simply passed through the presidency. I still believe you can act tough, Sir. STOP this NIA plan NOW!!”.
