Imams asked to pray for the youth

Accra, Aug 8, GNA – The National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu on Wednesday called on all Regional, Districts and Zonal Imams to offer a special prayer for the Ghanaian youth and for that matter the World youth after the Jumah prayer on Friday.

This is in connection with the International Youth Day celebration declared by the United Nations Assembly in December 1999. A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the National Chief Imam said the success of every country lay in the moral up bringing of children and as such parents should invest in their children.

He said parents should desist from abusing their children since children were the most precious gift given by Allah. “May our children grow to be useful”.
