I’m surprised at some minority MPs’ attitudinal change – NPP MP

Member of Parliament [MP] for the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency in the Eastern Region, Frank Annor- Dompreh has expressed surprise at the positive behaviour speedily adopted by some members of Parliament who were not approachable during their party’s term in government.

According to him, some NDC members of Parliament after they lost in the 2016 elections have changed their attitude.

“In fact, some refused to regard members in the then opposition as colleagues of the House, but I am surprised they are the same people who will now call you from afar to say ‘hello’,” he said.

He further indicated to Lawyer Tweneboa Koduah, host of UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ show that “Frankly, I do not understand and can’t tell why some members of parliament behave weird when they are in power and overly courteous when they are out of power…”

Touching on the issue of the alleged missing 200 state vehicles, he expressed his amazement at the action of some of these ex-government officials.

He cited a case where one of the leaders in Parliament showed him (Annor-Dompreh) evidence of an out-gone minister of state attempting to change the particulars of a state car into her name for her personal use.

He added that some people respect themselves whiles others do not, pointing out that he knows some public officials who used state vehicles to perform their duties and have since returned them back to the state.

“So why won’t the others do same when Former President Mahama has directed them to do so?” he asked.
