I’m proud to be part of a succeeding NPP government – Karbo

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Lawra Constituency , Anthony N-yoh Abayifaa Karbo has expressed his admiration for the administration of the current government under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of which he is a member.

He said he is particularly elated that certain policies and programmes initiated by the current administration including the free Senior High School (SHS) policy will inure to the benefit of over 300,000 beneficiaries when it is rolled out in September this year.

He wrote on his official facebook page “Our greatest asset as a nation in fifty years won’t be our gold or oil; it shall be our population. And that is why this Government is right in prioritizing education and rolling out what is arguably the biggest social intervention in education, since the implementation of FCUBE, under the Fourth Republic.

I am proud to be part of the Government, which would make it possible for 300,000 students in September to attend senior high school at no cost. By taking this bold step, this Government would be securing the future of our nation against endemic poverty and inequality.

As a Member of Parliament, a successful implementation of this policy would lessen the load demands for the payment of education related fees, imposes on my share of the Common Fund and would enable me rechannel that amount into other equally important interventions for the benefit of my constituents”
