I’m now a shepherd – Nyaunu

Former Lower Manya Krobo Member of Parliament, Michael Teye Nyaunu says he is now a shepherd after his defeat by arch contender Ebenezer Teye Larbi.

The former MP told XYZ Breakfast Show Host Moro Awudu on Tuesday July 2, 2013 that he personally takes his herd of goats and sheep for grazing in his Constituency.

“Yes, I am a shepherd,” he confirmed, adding that: “I personally take them (goat) out to graze”.

He said: “I have long robes that I wear” when taking the livestock out to the field for grazing.

The former legislator-turned-farmer says he has about 40 goats, 20 sheep and a few birds that he tends on his small cocoyam and cassava farms in the village.

Teye Nyaunu lost his seat after holding it for four consecutive terms.

He went independent in last year’s general elections after falling out with the leadership of the governing National Democratic Congress.

He says beside tending his farms and livestock, he also does lay preaching in his constituency toward winning souls for the Christian faith.
