I’m not sure if I will contest 2020 election – Akufo-Addo

The president has expressed his uncertainty of contesting in the 2020 elections.

“I am not sure if my name will appear on the ballot paper in the 2020 general elections or otherwise,” he said when he met the press Tuesday at the Flagstaff House.

He made the comments when asked about his stance on against galamsey. The president said he is determined to eradicate illegal mining despite the electoral threats against him.

He said if his name doesn’t appear on the ballot, someone equally competent will contest.
