I’m no murderer – Akufo-Addo

Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has told Ghanaians to ignore any propaganda and lies that will be churned out by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) between now and 7th December aimed at painting him as a murderer and corrupt person.

Addressing party supporters at the NPP’s final rally at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra on Sunday, Mr Akufo-Addo said his intelligence shows that the NDC and its elements will flood the system with lies about him as Wednesday approaches for the polls.

He has also admonished party members to desist from rejoicing or thinking that the polls were a done deal.

He has, therefore, urged supporters of the party to focus their energies into victory and only rest or rejoice after he has been declared as the next president of Ghana by the Electoral Commission (EC).

“Don’t be deceived we haven’t won yet. We can only win after everyone votes [for the NPP],” he said, during his address.

The three-time presidential candidate reiterated his commitment towards revamping the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), restoring allowances for trainee teachers and nurses, instituting free Senior High School (SHS), allocating US $1m per constituency and also implementing his one-district-one-factory policy among others.

He reassured the electorate that he “won’t lie to Ghanaians about my ability to fulfil my promises” and urged Ghanaians to vote for a change in government to bring development and affect citizen’s lives positively.
