I’m Happy To Score A Hat-trick – Doris Boaduwaa On Her Hat-Trick Against Egypt

Ghana forward Doris Boaduwaa says she feels “fulfilled and relieved” after scoring a hat-trick to help the Black Queens qualify for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The in-form striker was unstoppable as Ghana sealed their qualification with an emphatic aggregate victory over Egypt, ending a remarkable campaign on a high.

Speaking after the match, Boaduwaa expressed her delight, saying:

“I’m happy to have scored a hat-trick. What I couldn’t do at the WAFCON, hopefully, I’ve settled it in these two games.”

Her goals not only secured Ghana’s place at the continental showpiece but also highlighted her resurgence after narrowly missing out on top performances at the previous tournament.

Boaduwaa’s form has been instrumental under coach Kim Björkegren, who praised the team’s determination and togetherness.

The Black Queens will now turn their attention to preparations for the 2026 WAFCON, where they hope to reclaim their place among Africa’s elite women’s football nations.
