I’m disappointed in Chiefs who honored Osei Kyei Mensah – Brogya Gyemfi

The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ernest Yaw Brogya Gyemfi says he is highly surprised and disappointed in Chiefs who honored the Majority Leader and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.

“When you critically analyze his achievements, I don’t think he should be praised, because there is nothing extra ordinary he has done for his people during these long years of being Member of Parliament” Brogya Gyemfi asserted.

He claimed that, he is very shocked that the honor came from Chiefs of Suame, adding that, Mr Osei Kyei Mensah has disrespected the same chiefs in time past.

According to Brogya Gyemfi, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah’s reactions towards some Chiefs of his constituency amidst their praise for the Former President John Mahama do not make him eligible for honor bestowed on him.

Apart from the chiefs whose conduct he expressed worry about, he observed Mr Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu should not have attended the celebration in the first place looking at his conduct in the constituency as a Member of Parliament explain that the Suame Constituency is one of the constituencies which have most bad roads in the Ashanti Region.

Mr Brogya Gyemfi maintained that the lawmaker could have done better than what the constituency has seen per the number of years he had been their MP.

The chief of Breman, Nana Takyi Brefour, talking on the same issue confirmed that, Mr Osei Mensah Bonso deserved the honor bestowed on him considering the good work he has done for his constituents.

Hon Osei Kyei has been MP for his constituency since 1997 and was last weekend honored as Sumpahene by chiefs of his constituency.
