‘I’m disappointed at my performance’-Abu Sakara

The Presidential Candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr. Abu Sakara, has said he is disappointed with his performance in last Friday’s polls.

Dr. Abu Sakara managed to obtain only 0.18 percent out of the 11.2 million votes cast.

Speaking at a news conference to concede defeat, Dr. Abu Sakara asked Ghanaians to rally behind President Mahama to develop Ghana.

“I take it that the choice that has been made is a selection and not a rejection of the others and perhaps what they [Ghanaians] are saying to us is ‘not now but next time’,” he said.

“As we look forward to continuing with our normal activities, I want to encourage everyone to focus on the task of development for the next three years. It is now our highest priority to work together to provide the basic amenities that make life easier for ordinary men and women of this country,” he added.
