I’m apolitical – EC boss

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei has stated categorically that she does not belong to any political party in the country.

According to the former boss of the National Commission on Civic Education, she has never attended or contested a political post for any political organization in the country.

Days after Mrs. Osei was appointed by President Mahama as EC boss to replace Afari Gyan, some campaign posters of her contesting for an MP on the ticket of the NDC surfaced.

But speaking on the issue for the first time on Morning Starr Monday, Mrs. Osei told host Nii Arday Clegg that she was surprised to see those campaign posters.

“I have never run for political office for any party or withing any party infact I have never been a member of any political…I am pretty apolitical.

“It was a lovely surprise to wake up one morning and see my campaign posters and we had quite a good laugh at home
