I’ll campaign for NDC in 2016 If… – Abu Ramadan

A leading member of the People’s National Convention (PNC) has sworn to give his vote to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) come 2016, if only government is able to construct 200 new Community Day Senior High Schools across the nation.

National Youth Organizer of the PNC, Abu Ramadan, pledged to join forces with the government for another great shot in the 2016 general elections but was cocksure the government’s school project will definitely hit the rocks.

He, however, expressed doubts about President John Mahama’s ability to bring the initiative to fruition despite government cutting sod for the commencement of the first 50 schools under the project. Contributing to Oman FM’s “National Agenda” programme, the PNC Youth Organizer posited that amidst the current economic problems and the challenges facing GETFUND, government is embarking on a mission impossible and wondered how it intends sourcing funds to begin construction. He, therefore, dared government to construct just 60 schools over two years and he would gladly campaign for President John Dramani Mahama to extend his tenure of office.

“I’m giving them three years. Come 2016, if the NDC government is able to build 60; I would urge and I would tell the people of this country to give the mandate for the next four years again to the NDC. I tell you; they cannot even build 20 (schools). This government cannot construct that school project,” he said.

Meanwhile, President John Mahama has cut sod at Upper West Akyem District in the Eastern Region for the commencement of work on the first batch of the fifty (50) new Community Day Senior High Schools.
