If it is cocaine then it is NPP – Bagbin fumes

Members of the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party are managing to now shift the debate on the harmful effect cocaine bequeaths on us as a nation, to who best has members who take joy in dealing in the dangerous substance.

Majority Leader in parliament, Alban Bagbin, yesterday rubbed salt into the wounds of his colleagues on the opposite side by alleging that when it comes to a political party in Ghana that has an appetite for dealing in the illicit drug, no one comes close to them.

He made this offensive remark after the deputy minority leader mockingly lifted two bags of rice, and attributed its weight equivalent to that of the “cocaine” Nayele Ametefeh allegedly smuggled from Ghana to the United Kingdom.

According to him, under the NPP’s regime, Ghanaians witnessed a sitting MP got arrested for drug trafficking and ended up bringing shame upon us.

Hon. Alban Bagbin’s comment didn’t sit well with the Minority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu. In an attempt to hit back, the minority leader was also forced to start rolling out ‘cocaine records’ of their bitterest opponent.
