IDEAS University Council denies merger

The University Council of IDEAS University College at Fiapre in the Brong-Ahafo region, has denied rumours that management of the university are considering merging with the unaccredited campus set up the dismissed former employee of the school, Rexy Lovell Mensah. The council says it would be totally strange for it to do business with a former employee who has embezzled funds and committed other criminal offences. The council added that Rexy Lovell Mensah has not and cannot approach the management of IDEAS University College for any merger talks because of the degree of the mess he has caused. Rexy Lovel Mensah is currently being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service for various offences including forging the signature of the proprietress of the university, Madam Comfort Adampah and fraudulently changing ownership of the university into his name and his girlfriend, Victoria Amoah. The council therefore entreated students and the general public to treat the said merger talks with the contempt it deserves.
