IDEAS
University College at Fiapre in Sunyani, has inaugurated its first Students’
Representative Council, (SRC) Executives with a call on them to effectively
combine academic and leadership responsibilities to enhance the image of the
university.
The
swearing in ceremony of the SRC executives coincided with the orientation for
fresh and continuing students of the university.
The
executives are, Francis Owusu-Ansah,(President), Ibrahim Abdul-Wasiu- (Vice
president), Joyce Asamoah-(Executive Secretary),Felicia Aningful(Financial
Officer), Nana Kyere Philip Johnson(Chaplain), Edward Nketia(Organising
Secretary) and Michael Amponsah(Public Relations Officer/Editor).
The
rest are, Freda Damba Rashida, (Sergeant-At-Arms), Matilda Fordjour (Women’s
Commissioner), Peter Addai Kwarteng, (Sports Commissioner), Michael Gyabaah
(Welfare Commissioner), George Kwarteng, (Entertainment Commissioner), and Daniel
Agyei Sarpong, (PUSAG President).
A
member of the council of the university, Mr. J.R. Agyemang Badu, congratulated
the executives for assuming their various leadership roles. He urged them to
justify the confidence reposed in them and always lift high the flag of the
university.
The
SRC President, Francis Owusu-Ansah, on behalf of the executives, thanked the students
and management of the university for the honour done them and pledged to work
selflessly to enhance the image of the university.
