Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim, Executive Chairman of Islamic Council for Development and Humanitarian Services (ICODEHS) has called on Muslims to strengthen their social relations and peacefully co-exist with non Muslims especially during the month of Ramadan
He also cautioned Muslims against making inflammatory comments on the on-going election petition in the Supreme Court.
He added: “ICODEHS also urge Ghanaians to guard against malevolent comments on the election petition… which is likely to mar national peace and undermine our judicial system.”
Sheikh Ibrahim who made the call in a statement issued in Accra and copied to Ghana News Agency, appealed to Muslims to pray for unity and wisdom for the leadership of the country in order to run the affairs of governance diligently.
He said the main purpose of fasting is for one to attain God-consciousness. Fasting is also an instrument for bringing people closer to their natural state of cleansing from the sins of any disobedience.
The Executive Chairman urged Muslims to use the month of Ramadan to extend love to all people especially the vulnerable and the underprivileged in the society.
