ICANN Meetings in Accra, Ghana – 10-14 March 2002

Preliminary Announcement

ICANN’s next round of meetings will be held 10-14 March 2002 in Accra, Ghana. The meetings are free to all attendees, and open to any interested person. ICANN encourages broad participation in its bottom-up consensus-development process. The meetings will be held in the brand new convention center close by Accra’s modern hotels.

In addition to ICANN’s normal meetings, consideration is being given to devoting part of the meeting to a special topic. More details will be announced later.

Information relating to the meeting is posted on the ICANN web site. Please also check the local host’s web site (mirrored here) for information on hotels and air transportation. Air transportation should be booked early. Pre-registration will be available soon.

Because the meeting is in a tropical climate, protection against yellow fever is required and protection against malaria is recommended. Please also consult your local health service for advisory information. Protection must normally be obtained at least one month prior to the date of departure. Business visas are also required for visitors from many countries so attendees should check with their local Ghanaian embassy or consulate.
