Ibrahim Sadiq Nets First Goal of Season as AZ Alkmaar Held by Volendam

Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Sadiq opened his account for the season with a well-taken goal in AZ Alkmaar’s 2-2 draw against Volendam in the Eredivisie.

Sadiq, who has been steadily growing in influence at the Dutch club, showed his attacking instincts to find the back of the net and give his side momentum in the match. But despite AZ’s dominance for large spells, Volendam proved resilient and forced the game to end level.

The goal will come as a boost for Sadiq, who is aiming to establish himself as a consistent scorer for Alkmaar this campaign. His energy and pace have made him a fan favourite, and his contribution on Sunday was a reminder of the quality he brings to the team.

For AZ, however, the dropped points mean more work lies ahead as they push to stay in contention at the top end of the Eredivisie table.
