I would work diligently for the District -Professor Kaburise

Navrongo(UE), April 3, GNA- Professor John Bonaventure Kaburise, a former Vice Chancellor of the University for Development (UDS), on Tuesday stated that he would use his rich experience to ensure that the Kessena-Nankana District was raised to a Municipal status if made the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Navrongo Central Constituency in the Upper East Region.

He said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Navrongo, in the Upper East Region after a Press Conference. He said as a Professor who had served in many national and international Universities, he would accelerate the development of the constituency when elected.

“As a Professor I am always out for development and when I don’t work for that my conscience is tremendously affected”, he said. Professor Kaburise indicated that he would ensure that the youth was empowered by instituting and equipping them to go into viable ventures to sustain their livelihood.

He said as a Professor of many universities in the world, he would adopt a policy to create an environment by seeing to it that a lot of students were sent to tertiary and other higher learning institutions. He said that he would use his vast acquired experience from both national and international universities to bring development not only to his constituency but the entire nation.

Professor Kaburise debunked allegations raised by some party executives that he had just joined the party and indicated that he had been a patriotic member of the Party for a very long time. He urged party executives to create a healthy environment within the party to enable it recapture victory for the 2008.
