I worked 15 years to develop my credentials – Nduom

The President of the evergreen, Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has revealed that contrary to notions that he jumped into fame over a short period, it took him 15 years to cut his teeth.

Addressing students of the Private University Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG) as part of his ‘Power Talk Series’, at the Methodist University College in Accra, he said, “for 15 years, I worked to develop my credentials.”

Speaking on how to become a successful entrepreneur, he noted that becoming an entrepreneur is a journey and not a destination. He said, “it is not a destination that you can drop there all of a sudden, it is a journey you must travel to get to some destination.”

The President of Groupe Nduom, urged participants at the conference to be diligent and committed to work as he recounted his working experience as a parking lot attendant. He said, “every small job I did taught me a lesson”.

The astute entrepreneur encouraged students not to consider the idea of working for other people as an end to their hopes of becoming entrepreneurs but seize it to build their credentials.
