Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has appealed to the Chiefs and people of Kwahu in the Eastern Region to give their maximum support to the elephant family to win the November 7 general elections, promising that he will never let them down if he becomes President.
“Kwahuman must continue to give their maximum support to the NPP. I also promise that if God helps me to win the presidential race and become President, I will never turn my back at Kwahuman”, he noted.
The opposition leader made this observation, Sunday, when addressing the people of Obo Kwahu at the 25th anniversary celebration of Obohene, Nana Yeboah Afari Obuagyan.
Nana Addo was joined by the party’s MPs and Parliamentary candidates of the Kwahu area namely; Joseph Frimpong, Abirim; Kwabena Darfour, Nkawkaw; Bryan Acheampong, Abetifi; Seth Acheampong, Mpraeso; William Hor, Afram Plains South; and Nana Ofori Koree, Afram Plains North.
His participation was part of an outdoor initiative by the Kwahu Chapter of the NPP which was aimed at securing more votes for the party to win the November 7 polls.
Nana Addo commenting further prayed to God to help maintain the relative peace the country is enjoying, especially, before, during and after the elections.
He donated GHc10,000.00 to the organizers of the 25th anniversary celebrations.
