I Will Improve Standards of Education of Brongs

President Kufuor’s nominee for the post of the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister has appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament for approval and promised to improve on standards of education in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Nana Kwadwo Seinti, who is the Akempimhene of the Duayaw Nkwanta traditional area, regretted that although the Brong Ahafo Region is endowed with abundant resources, the inhabitants are not progressing.

To address this problem he promised to improve the educational standards of the people, embark on an aforestation program and radically modernize farming. Nana Seinti said he would do everything in his power to complement the efforts of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture by encouraging farmers of the region to process their farm produce. This he foresaw would effectively help minimize post harvest losses.

Nana Seinti who is presently the chairman of a district insurance scheme in Brong Ahafo promised to create awareness about the importance of insurance all over the region. He described the health insurance scheme as useful but needed to be fine-tuned. He regretted that most people preferred to invest their monies elsewhere and only visited hospitals, for treatment when their sickness was terminal.

When asked whether he intended to continue as a chief in the event of becoming the Regional Minister of Brong Ahafo, he explained that he had abdicated from the stool in anticipation of being approved. Nana Seinti promised to bring his experience to bear on solving chieftaincy disputes in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Nana Kwadwo Seinti holds a degree in Administration from the University of Ghana. He is married with five children.
