‘I will build on Kofi Boakye’s war against armed robbery’ – DCOP Ken Yeboah

Ashanti Regional Commander of the Ghana Police Service has vowed to deal ruthlessly with armed robbery and other crimes in his resolve to sustain the gains made by his predecessor, DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye.

According to DCOP Ken Yeboah, Boakye has already laid a formidable foundation to fight crimes while serving in the region adding, he has no reason to fail during his tenure.

DCOP Ken Yeboah was speaking in an exclusive interview with host of Abusua Nkommo, Kwame Adinkrah as during his familiarization tour of Abusu fm during which he took the opportunity to engage the public on radio about his policies.

He appealed to the public to offer him the needed support while giving him vital information that will lead to a crack down on criminal hideouts.

“I will need the kind of support you demonstrated towards my predecessor when he was in the region in order to ensure that we sustain the gains and improve on them,” he said.

“I promise the residents of Ashanti Region of maximum confidentiality should they volunteer information that will lead to a successful on criminals,” he added.

‘We still have the reward scheme for police informers, I mean people who volunteer valuable information that will help us in strengthening security in the region,” he assured.
