I Want To Build A Team That Is Strong Enough To Win Titles – Frimpong Manso On Nations FC Job

Newly appointed Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso has vowed to build a modern, competitive team that blends flair with tactical discipline as he begins his tenure with the Ghana Premier League side.

Unveiled on Tuesday, the veteran coach set out a bold vision for the club, insisting that success in today’s game requires more than just technical ability.

“I want to build a team that is strong enough to win titles and also play good football,” Manso said at his unveiling.
“Football has evolved, knowing how to play alone is not enough. Playing without the ball is the most important thing. We will look at both sides of the game and get the best out of the players.”

Manso replaces Kasim Mingle, who was relieved of his duties after a 3-2 victory over Eleven Wonders on Matchday 7. His appointment marks a quick return to management after leaving Bibiani GoldStars following their CAF Champions League exit to JS Kabylie.

Known for his deep tactical understanding and emphasis on teamwork, Manso says his approach at Nations FC will prioritise intensity, discipline, and adaptability, hallmarks of modern football.

“We’ll focus on the two key aspects of the game, with and without the ball,” he added. “We’ll get the players to understand that concept and fight for every result.”

The experienced trainer will have his first opportunity to put his philosophy into practice when Nations FC travel to face Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Matchday 8.

For Manso, the challenge is clear, to turn Nations FC into a side that not only entertains but also competes at the very top of Ghanaian football
