Bibiani GoldStars new signing Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng has compared his style of play to that of Lamine Yamal of Barcelona after a move from Tanzanian side Pamba Jiji FC. The Ghana Premier League champions, Bibiani Goldstars is gearing up for the 2025/26 season and their CAF Champions League campaign, hoping Boateng’s attacking flair will add firepower to their squad.
Boateng, who previously had a stint with Bofoakwa Tano, expressed his excitement about joining the Bibiani-based club. In an interview with the team’s media, the 26-year-old likened his style of play to that of Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal.
“I was very happy to get such a call to join the league champions,” Boateng said. “I am a right winger, what we call the ‘Lamine Yamal position.’ I play like Lamine Yamal.”
His addition comes as part of a broader recruitment strategy by GoldStars, who have already signed Barimah Baah and Emmanuel Kontor. The club is focused on strengthening its squad as it prepares to defend its league title and make an impression on the continental stage.
Boateng’s signing underscores the club’s ambition to compete at the highest levels, both domestically and internationally, as fans eagerly await his debut in GoldStars colours.
