I haven’t withdrawn bribery allegation against Agyarko – Mahama Ayariga

Member of Parliament (MP) for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga has dismissed an “inaccurate” publication by some media outlets suggesting that he has withdrawn an earlier bribery allegation he made against Energy Minister-designate, Boakye Agyarko, on Friday.

A story by myjoyonline.com revealed the Bawku Central legislator had made U-turn and apologized to the majority in parliament for making up the bribery story against Mr. Boakye Agyarko.

But a statement on Mahama Ayariga’s Facebook page has debunked the reports.

Mr. Ayariga emphasized that he has not withdrawn his allegations because the Minority Members of the house received some money from the nominee and returned same.

“Let me state categorically that I have not withdrawn any allegation against the nominee. The basis for such a withdrawal and apology does not exist because the Minority Members actually received some sums of money from the leadership which came from the nominee,” he stated.
