I haven’t been sacked from Multimedia – Afia Pokua

News editor of Adom FM, Afia Pokua has debunked media reportage that she has been sacked from the Multimedia Group over comments she made in relation to the death of her former colleague, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA).

In a Facebook post shortly after news broke out that Afia and her colleague, Ohemaa Woyeje have been sacked, the Vim Lady, as she is popularly called stated that she is still working with the media giant and asked ‘haters’ to stop twisting information about her.

She said “From twisting my post, to twisting my employment status – Am still cruising at Multimedia wai. MGL, THE LORD IS OUR SHEPHERD. Haters go shame cos we started from the mud and crawled to the top by sheer grace wai.”

Afia Pokuaa received a lot of criticisms earlier this week when reports went rife that she attributed the death of KABA to juju, a claim she has described as misquoting.

Her earlier Facebook post read: “Why do we use juju and evil means to kill each other and undermine each other when we came individually?”. “Why? Did God create anyone for anybody? WHY ARE HUMANS THAT EVIL?”

News broke Friday evening that the radio and TV presenter might have lost their jobs as a result of their statements which placed the company in a bad light but she has refuted the reports.

However, Ohemaa Woyeje who was also reported to have been sacked for accusing another colleague for frustrating the KABA whilst he was alive seems to have confirmed the report with a Facebook which reads: ” it’s better to lose your job than your life”
