I have what it takes to handle ACP job – Mumuni

The New Secretary General of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, Alhaji Muhammed Mumuni says he has what it takes to succeed in his new post.
He was endorsed by ECOWAS Heads of State and Government in Yamoussoukro to serve the unexpired term of Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas.
President Mahama nominated Alhaji Mumuni to replace Dr. Chambas following his new appointment at the UN.
Alhaji Mumuni in an interview with XYZ News, said his experiences gained in his previous job as Ghana’s Foreign Affairs minister will greatly help in discharging his duties.
“I feel that it is a call to duty on behalf of my country and the ACP group, I think that it is a challenge really but I believe that I have what it takes to be able to continue the good works that Dr. Chambas has been doing in the few years,” Alhaji Muhammed Mumuni said.
“I will need to deploy my negotiation skills to structure and create an environment that will promote trade among the nations and partners of this ACP group”.
