I have not been sacked as PNC General Secretary – Atik Mohammed

General Secretary of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed has denied media reports he has been suspended indefinitely from his position at the extraordinary National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party.

News has been circulating on social media that the PNC scribe had been suspended indefinitely for misconduct towards the party’s leader Dr Edward Nasigri Mahama upon his appointment as an Ambassador at large by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

But in a sharp rebuttal on his facebook wall, he said “My attention has been drawn to some news that I have been suspended indefinitely. It is not true and indeed, no organ of the party save National Congress is clothed with such powers. I will officially be issuing a statement to this effect”.
