I have No Regrets In Attempting Presidential Race-Mumuni

The running mate to the NDC Presidential candidate in last month?s general elections, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, has said he does not regret relinquishing his constituency seat for a presidential dream that he lost alongside the NDC candidate, Prof. Evans Atta Mills.

In an interview with Joy News Alhaji Mumuni, who is steadily recuperating from a motor accident soon after his nomination, said he gave up the seat voluntarily because he decided to serve his party when the opportunity was offered.

He explained that he would do what he has done when the opportunity is offered again.

? I have no regrets at all doing what I did offering myself as a running mate to professor Atta Mills on the ticket of the NDC and I will do it again if the opportunity comes again under the same circumstances?, he said.

? Let me say that some of us have devoted our lives to serve the nation and the people of the country and we know that will entail some sacrifices and some inconveniences from time to time and this is just one of them. I am taking it quite philosophical and I have no regrets at all?, Alhaji Mumuni said.

The former Member of Parliament for Kumbugu and his boss lost their presidential ambition to President J. A. Kufuor a month ago.

He is currently taking a rest at home, still supported by a pair of clutches.
