‘I have a good relationship with Mahama’

The British High Commissioner to Ghana Jon Benjamin has told Bola Ray on Starr Chat that he has a very cordial relationship with President John Mahama.

The diplomat has been heavily criticised by government communicators over what they believe is his critical stands on the Mahama-led administration in the area of corruption.

However, Benjamin says he has a fantastic relationship with the President.

“I have a very good relationship with President,” he stated.

He also commended Mr Mahama for his role as chairman of ECOWAS.

He said the President handled himself “fantastically” in resolving the challenges that confronted the sub-regional bloc under his leadership, which ended on Tuesday May 19,2015.
