I don’t owe any waakye seller – Former NDC Chairman

The former Effia Constituency chairman for the ruling National Democratic Congress in the western region has debunked media reports suggesting that he owes a popular waakye joint in Takoradi, one in town waakye.

Alidu Issah speaking to Kasapa News Western Regional Correspondent, Emmanuel Ohene Gyan, he said all debt owed the waakye joint has been settled some three years ago.

Alidu Issah was sued by Madam Ayishetu, proprietress of the waakye joint for failing to settle some GHC6,000 worth of food bought.

Mr Alidu and the party in the constituency borrowed some waakye in 2012 for the party agents during the exhibition exercise but did not honour the payment until a Takoradi circuit court was in the process of auctioning his house.

Mr. Alidu suspected today’s publication was politically motivated.
