“I did not warn Journalists” – Asamoah

Takoradi, Sept. 12 GNA – Nana Alex Asamoah, Western Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says he did not warn Journalists when he addressed a general meeting of the Effia-Kwesimintsim Constituency of the Party at Kwesimintsim, in Takoradi on Saturday, September 7, during which a new party membership card was launched.

A Ghana News Agency report had quoted him as having said: “Those Journalists, who have been condoning deceit and wrong doing will be held responsible for any civil war in the country that their actions would cause.”

Nana Asamoah said he, however, stood by the rest of the story and expressed the hope that his reaction would be given attention to erase any negative impression that might have been created by the report.
