I checked my sugar level after I heard of KABA’s death – Kennedy Agyapong

Maverick politician and Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has revealed that he was forced to check his sugar level immediately he learnt of the passing away of the astute journalist Kojo Asare Baffour Acheampong also known as KABA.

According to outspoken MP, he suspected KABA’s death could be as a result of diabetes or hypertension when he heard the news as such he immediately went to the nearest health center to check his sugar level.

He added that the results show that he had not been disciplined with his diet as his sugar level has risen alongside his blood pleasure.

‘’When I checked my sugar level it was 7.1 and I was shocked as I have never gotten to that level before. My blood pressure also reads 140/90 which was extremely high.’’ He noted.

He has therefore advised all to take their health issues seriously.

KABA passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short sickness on Saturday 18th November.

Until his sudden death, he was the host of popular late afternoon political talk show, Eko Sii S3in on Asempa 94.7 FM.

He was married to Valentina Ofori Afriyie who is also a broadcaster with Accra-based Class FM, having worked many years with Radio Gold and Spirit FM in Kumasi.

He left behind a daughter.
