I am rather a threatening disease to NPP – Mills

Accra, Feb. 14, GNA – Professor John Evans Atta Mills, National Democratic Comgress (NDC) Presidential Candidate arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on Thursday on a chartered plane from South Africa and declared “God has not finished with me yet”.

With reference to his political opponents and adversaries the Professor remarked, “Atta Mills is rather the life threatening disease of the NPP.”

A large crowd that met him at the airport went ecstatic with jubilation and the NDC supporters in party paraphernalia swayed placards, some of which read, “Thank God Atta Mills has risen” and “Welcome back home Atta Mills.”

Prof. Atta Mills, who was in South Africa for the past couple of weeks said it was not true that he was suffering from a life threatening disease.

Wearing a grey suit with party muffler around his neck, the former Vice President said he had forgiven all those who had spread false rumours concerning his health.

The NDC Flag Bearer said; “we should be much more concerned about the health of the nation than my health.”

He said the NDC was going forward to win the on-coming elections, come December this year.

Before leaving for South Africa Professor Mills had announced a break in his political campaign on account of the recently held Ghana 2008 Soccer tournament.

There were media speculations concerning the health of Professor Mills during the past few weeks, especially after a message was posted on the internet that the NDC Flag Bearer had passed away in South Africa while undergoing surgery.

Professor Mills is expected to hold a press conference on Friday February 15, 2008 to address the rumours and other issues.
