Hunter shoots colleague to death

Bechem (B/A), Aug 6, GNA- Mr Haruna Bukari, a 28-year-old hunter, was shot dead by a colleague on Monday during a hunting expedition in a forest near Bechem in Tano District of Brong Ahafo.

Mr Issaka Bukari, 32, elder brother of the deceased told Ghana News Agency that Kwaku Kusasi, the colleague, came to informed him on the Tuesday morning that he (Kusasi) had mistakenly shot and killed Haruna. He said Kusasi told him that while in the forest they took different directions. He later saw a faint light at a distance, took it to be a game, aimed and shot it only to hear the deceased shout: “You have killed me.”

Mr Issaka said Kusasi told him that since he was alone he could not help his brother and watched him helplessly until he died. Kusasi reported himself to the police, Issaka said. 06 Aug.03
